You the, You the Best

What's up FAM,
Tonight, I had some friends who decided that they wanted to take me out. So, we go out and I bring my god son(4years old) along. We are like thirty deep in this group. So, I'm going around and speaking to everyone, even flashing a picture or two. Finally, we sit down and someone begins to ask me about music and what is going on. As she keeps asking questions, my god son blurts out, "Tre's the best". The lady sitting across from us ask, "He is?" He said, "Yeah, he be on the stage and people be putting they hands up, and they be clapping too". Then he asks me for my iphone, and asks me to go to my album. He presses play and passes her my phone and says "See, that's him, he's the best". A waitress is listening and she asks him, what is he talking about? He points at me and says, "Him, he's the best, he do music". I looked at him and I said, "Ok, guy, chill out" and he looked at me and said, "You're my favorite". It made me feel like a million bucks, while he's saying these things, I'm trying to keep this kool-aid smile off my face. We have articles written about me and there are people who say "Great job!". But it was different when it came from him tonight. As we left, he asked for ice cream. What kind do you want? He said, "I want the ones with the stuff in it" (Coldstone). Now, for those of you who are not from Birmingham, I was at the Summit, and the closest Coldstone is in Alabaster. That is 24.6 miles away exactly. But we went. Then we stopped in Wal-Mart and, well, whatever he asked for I bought. Little overboard, maybe. But I began to think about my relationship with God, and my prayer life, my praise, my worship. God, knows who he is, God knows that he is good, but there is something special about me saying You're my favorite, You're the best, that drives God to bless. The boy could have asked me for a car and probably got it. It's that display of genuine love or adoration that motivates or drives you to say "What do ya want?" God is no different. Your praise, your worship, your genuine love for God drives God to say "I got you, what else can I do for you?" I heard TI say once(stay with me), "A woman who genuinly loves me will get everything, a woman who just asks for everything will get nothing." As it relates to God, that goes for man, woman, boy, girl, whoever. To seek that heart of God, more than just his hand. God, seeks to bless you, but he has no desire to be used. A true heart for worship. Make God smile. Make sure that God knows He's your favorite. Tell him, He's the best.

Good Is Good

Your boy is back! First off, it has been a minute since I dropped you guys a line. We have been on the move, and we have seen God do some outstanding things at every turn. We are gearing up for this album release, and we are still tweaking some of the final things, but so far so good. I have reached out to some of you all and asked you to give your opinions on some of the music, even on some tracks that I had not listened to yet. Great feedback, you are helping the team tremendously. We want this to be more than just good music; we are out to set a standard with this project. It’s all God. Let me also tell you all how much I appreciate you guys who are dropping me a word of encouragement, it is blessing my socks off. But man God has been showing out….that’s really an understatement. You know most of what we do is geared toward young people, but we are seeing people from all age groups, races, even other religions come to Christ. Yeah, we had a group of Muslims come to the altar and accept Christ. Jesus is real and he is just looking for an opportunity to show himself, and show himself strongly. You don’t need a stage or a pulpit for God to do his thang. Not thing, his THANG. He wants to show out in your workplace, your school, he wants to show out in your car even on the highway, he even wants to show out in our church’s, we just have to allow him to do it. But in order for us to allow God to do his thang, we have to let loose and believe in who he is. I was reading through the story of the children of Israel, and I am simply amazed at how they SAW God do one mind blowing thing after another. From the plagues, to splitting the Red Sea, always providing food whether manna from heaven, water from a rock, he’s constantly showing himself, and these knuckle heads still have the audacity to doubt him. Not only doubt him, but will even turn to a handmade god and worship it. How dare them!!! I mean, if I was there, I would be so convinced of the power of God, I would never doubt him. Really??? Yeah, we all say that, we will scan through the Bible and say, “how could they, pitiful”. But are we any different? We seem to dwell in the area of doubt or unbelief. Our faith in God seems to be contingent on our current situation. See it’s easy to trust in God, when everything is just right, but when a trial arises, some of us forget who has our back in every situation. We tend to forget what he has already done, he did it once, he’ll do it again. Let me take you back for a second, back in the ‘90’s there was a basketball player by the name of Michael Jordan, do you remember that guy? When the there was a need for a last second shot, the guy who everyone expected to take that shot was Michael Jordan. I mean, he knocked down so many last second shots it would be crazy to expect anyone else to take it. In the clutch, they say no one was better. But here’s a fun fact that I learned last week while in Chicago, Jordan hit the last second shot 68% of the time. That’s cool and all, but what about that 32%? That’s what makes God so amazing; he comes through 100% of the time!!!

How are you, what is going on with you? I’m amped because I am learning that although God is doing so much right now, we’re just seeing a small part of the bigger picture. That’s another message. Not only that, there is a world thirsty for something, and this is our time to make sure that Christ shines the brightest. This is not about albums, shows, or anything like that, this is about Jesus. We don’t measure success by sales we are out for souls. I want the world to be ablaze for Jesus. It’s time we take over, it’s time Christ folks lead. Oh yeah, so everyone is been asking us about the myspace or facebook, or tweeter or twitter, however you say it. So, we are on it get at me on myspace its, www.myspace.com/trethethird, on facebook, search for us using, allgodmusic@gmail.com, and twitter not tweeter, @ItsTheIII. Get at me, keep in touch.
