So the new Michael Jackson movie will come out tonight in less than 2 hours. Folks have already begun to line up outside of theaters across the country. This will be a movie event seen Internationally by millions, including myself. Not here to critique the movie, I expect it to be amazing. Yet, this song “This Is It”……….Haven’t really heard the entire song before tonight. So I’m sitting here at dinner and the song is playing over head. It’s the third line of the song that caught my ear. This guy sang, “I’m the light of the world, I feel grand”. What?!? Did he just say he was Jesus? Just asking.

You the, You the Best
What's up FAM,
Tonight, I had some friends who decided that they wanted to take me out. So, we go out and I bring my god son(4years old) along. We are like thirty deep in this group. So, I'm going around and speaking to everyone, even flashing a picture or two. Finally, we sit down and someone begins to ask me about music and what is going on. As she keeps asking questions, my god son blurts out, "Tre's the best". The lady sitting across from us ask, "He is?" He said, "Yeah, he be on the stage and people be putting they hands up, and they be clapping too". Then he asks me for my iphone, and asks me to go to my album. He presses play and passes her my phone and says "See, that's him, he's the best". A waitress is listening and she asks him, what is he talking about? He points at me and says, "Him, he's the best, he do music". I looked at him and I said, "Ok, guy, chill out" and he looked at me and said, "You're my favorite". It made me feel like a million bucks, while he's saying these things, I'm trying to keep this kool-aid smile off my face. We have articles written about me and there are people who say "Great job!". But it was different when it came from him tonight. As we left, he asked for ice cream. What kind do you want? He said, "I want the ones with the stuff in it" (Coldstone). Now, for those of you who are not from Birmingham, I was at the Summit, and the closest Coldstone is in Alabaster. That is 24.6 miles away exactly. But we went. Then we stopped in Wal-Mart and, well, whatever he asked for I bought. Little overboard, maybe. But I began to think about my relationship with God, and my prayer life, my praise, my worship. God, knows who he is, God knows that he is good, but there is something special about me saying You're my favorite, You're the best, that drives God to bless. The boy could have asked me for a car and probably got it. It's that display of genuine love or adoration that motivates or drives you to say "What do ya want?" God is no different. Your praise, your worship, your genuine love for God drives God to say "I got you, what else can I do for you?" I heard TI say once(stay with me), "A woman who genuinly loves me will get everything, a woman who just asks for everything will get nothing." As it relates to God, that goes for man, woman, boy, girl, whoever. To seek that heart of God, more than just his hand. God, seeks to bless you, but he has no desire to be used. A true heart for worship. Make God smile. Make sure that God knows He's your favorite. Tell him, He's the best.

Good Is Good
Your boy is back! First off, it has been a minute since I dropped you guys a line. We have been on the move, and we have seen God do some outstanding things at every turn. We are gearing up for this album release, and we are still tweaking some of the final things, but so far so good. I have reached out to some of you all and asked you to give your opinions on some of the music, even on some tracks that I had not listened to yet. Great feedback, you are helping the team tremendously. We want this to be more than just good music; we are out to set a standard with this project. It’s all God. Let me also tell you all how much I appreciate you guys who are dropping me a word of encouragement, it is blessing my socks off. But man God has been showing out….that’s really an understatement. You know most of what we do is geared toward young people, but we are seeing people from all age groups, races, even other religions come to Christ. Yeah, we had a group of Muslims come to the altar and accept Christ. Jesus is real and he is just looking for an opportunity to show himself, and show himself strongly. You don’t need a stage or a pulpit for God to do his thang. Not thing, his THANG. He wants to show out in your workplace, your school, he wants to show out in your car even on the highway, he even wants to show out in our church’s, we just have to allow him to do it. But in order for us to allow God to do his thang, we have to let loose and believe in who he is. I was reading through the story of the children of Israel, and I am simply amazed at how they SAW God do one mind blowing thing after another. From the plagues, to splitting the Red Sea, always providing food whether manna from heaven, water from a rock, he’s constantly showing himself, and these knuckle heads still have the audacity to doubt him. Not only doubt him, but will even turn to a handmade god and worship it. How dare them!!! I mean, if I was there, I would be so convinced of the power of God, I would never doubt him. Really??? Yeah, we all say that, we will scan through the Bible and say, “how could they, pitiful”. But are we any different? We seem to dwell in the area of doubt or unbelief. Our faith in God seems to be contingent on our current situation. See it’s easy to trust in God, when everything is just right, but when a trial arises, some of us forget who has our back in every situation. We tend to forget what he has already done, he did it once, he’ll do it again. Let me take you back for a second, back in the ‘90’s there was a basketball player by the name of Michael Jordan, do you remember that guy? When the there was a need for a last second shot, the guy who everyone expected to take that shot was Michael Jordan. I mean, he knocked down so many last second shots it would be crazy to expect anyone else to take it. In the clutch, they say no one was better. But here’s a fun fact that I learned last week while in Chicago, Jordan hit the last second shot 68% of the time. That’s cool and all, but what about that 32%? That’s what makes God so amazing; he comes through 100% of the time!!!
How are you, what is going on with you? I’m amped because I am learning that although God is doing so much right now, we’re just seeing a small part of the bigger picture. That’s another message. Not only that, there is a world thirsty for something, and this is our time to make sure that Christ shines the brightest. This is not about albums, shows, or anything like that, this is about Jesus. We don’t measure success by sales we are out for souls. I want the world to be ablaze for Jesus. It’s time we take over, it’s time Christ folks lead. Oh yeah, so everyone is been asking us about the myspace or facebook, or tweeter or twitter, however you say it. So, we are on it get at me on myspace its, www.myspace.com/trethethird, on facebook, search for us using, allgodmusic@gmail.com, and twitter not tweeter, @ItsTheIII. Get at me, keep in touch. I want to know what is going on in your world. You’re amazing, more than a conqueror, the head not the tail. You’re born to win, call you blessed and a blessing. Love ya,

Just Shut Up
Ok, so uhmmmmm, anyone who knows me or knows this ministry will tell you that one of our core values is unity amongst the body of Christ. Typically, many would say that deals with race relations in the church, and that is partially correct. I hate prejudice, I hate racism, I hate the power of a lack of pigmentation or a great tan to divide people. That's established, but that's not it. I hate division period. I hate denominational divisions, I hate theological divisions, I hate division math problems...........I'm joking on the last one. So allow me to address something that I noticed almost a year ago, paid it no mind, but now I have to say something. In my travels, I encounter a lot of people. As of late, I have encountered people who want to question me, not so much about the word of God, but more about certain pastor's, preacher's or ministries. Some of you have even emailed me questions about certain preacher's or ministries. I have answered questions, but for the most part, I have stayed away from all of the MESS. Cause that's what it is. On our website, we had a message board. I would check the board from time to time. I enjoyed some of the conversations, there where prayer request, people discussing the word, it was cool. Last night, my web guy calls me and tells me to check out the message board. So, I'm scanning the latest post, and its a verbal battle. There's name calling, there's scripture being tossed around, there's bashing of preacher's, there's mocking of various ministries, and I can not allow that. I'm not a mad person, but to say I was ticked off last night was an understatement. Christians beefing with each other like it's a rap war. Are you kidding me? Whether you believe in tongues, don't believe in tongues, believe in healing, don't believe in healing, believe in prosperity, don't believe in prosperity, WHO CARES? Now some may ask, Tre, how can you say that? Easy, it is not worth FIGHTING over. Last time I checked we are called Christians. Notice the root word in Christian, CHRIST. None of that other theological stuff is the base of what makes a Christian a Christian. I don't care what you think, if you believe Christ came, Christ Died, Christ rose, and you have accepted him as Lord of your life, we are family. Let's be real, if I put down this pastor, call that pastor names, call that church an occult, and playfully mock this artist by calling him the "It's Your Birthday Guy" Ha Ha, how many people are going to be drawn to Christ by that MESS? Stop with the comments on YouTube, quit with the bickering on the message boards and just shut up. If you do not agree with a pastor or a certain theology, then you do not listen to it. You think someone missed it, pray for them. I don't even care about your theology degrees or your seminary training, there is not enough education that allows you to put your mouth on another individual. God has not called anyone to judge. He's the only, he doesn't need our help. Love ya

Represent the Kingdom
I find myself in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia PA. I encountered a young man who was not a believer (we fixed that before we left). He told me that he stayed away from church because it's a place where he does not believe you can find God there. He further began to tell me how the church was a place of hateful people whose main focus is competing with other churches. I can relate to what he is saying. I was in Kinko's last week. As I was in there I over heard two people talking about various local churches's in our area. Mainly the things they where saying about the different church's where good, but some things where rather hard. Especially when they got to the local church that I attend. They said some really rough things. By the end of their conversation the clerk who was helping me was finishing up with my package, she looked at me and said "That's why I'll just stay at home". I called my pastor as I was leaving the store and told him about what I heard, as he put it unfortunately some of what they said is true. That evening I went to dinner with some friends who attend various church's around the city. For some reason in the midst of the meal this game of "My Church is better than yours started". For example, "My church is a dome" "Well we are building a new building" "Ya'll are building one building, we are building five debt free" "Well my church is the fastest growing church in the city" and my favorite "My pastor is better than yours" "Well they say your pastor is gay". I had enough, so I was like shut up. Mind you, these where, I love the Lord, he heard my cry; I'm a Kingdom builder, CHRISTIANS. The waitress stopped and was looking on in disbelief at this exchange. Even as we where leaving the restaurant two of the individuals began to jab at each other again. Here is what really get's me, we are so full of the word and "walking things out" yet what is being displayed isn't God. We almost seem to worship our pastors or our buildings as if they got on the cross and died and rose again. What is there to compare, we have one savior, that's it. No comparison, He stands on his own. We are going to church's and eating up everything that is said that will put money in our pockets or get us the "things" we desire. Money aint bad, things aren't either, but if you're not loving folks God is not obligated to give you anything. We tend to major on getting as if the word of God is a multi level marketing plan or the newest get rich quick scheme. But the whole love thing is forgotten. We have ministries dogging other ministries; church's dogging other churches, Christians dogging other Christians. Maybe, the idea is if I make their light appear dimmer, this little light of mine will seem brighter. Is that going to make people want to join this group that seems like a high school clique? We are not in competition to see which church is better or best. This is not about your church, your personal ministry, your denomination. There is one savior, that's it. Rep HIM. Folks need to see love, not division. Reality is love is what people are searching for. Folks need to experience God's love whether it be from the stage, street corner, office cubicle or a myspace blog. This is kingdom work. Keep it business. KINGDOM.

Been Thinking Again
Someone said, when it seems as if God is not answering your prayer maybe it's because of the lack of urgency. Something like that. So maybe that is why he isn't telling me right now. Or maybe I already know the answer, and he wants me to answer for myself??? Think about it
I have said, " Hey God what is your plan for me. I need a start, mid point, and an end. Help me out here." No answer......."Hey you called me and you want to hide all the answers from me? Whoa, now that's really fair. I'm cutting people out of my life, passing up money, and at times looking foolish and you wont even give me a map. TELL ME SOMETHING!!!"
Revelation:
I am sitting in the park as I am jotting things down in my notebook. Jalen comes and stands on the park table as I write. It's time to go, I grab my pad, I look at Jalen, extend my arms and say, "Jump". Without hesitation she runs and leaps into my arms, grabs my neck as she laughs. She looks at me smiling, those pretty hazel eyes full of joy. As if I'm staring in a mirror, in her left eye I can almost see my reflection. I'm smiling. I say, "Jay, why did you jump". Her response, "Cause you told me to". Then I said, "Why do you trust me to catch you?" She looks at me, and just shrugs her shoulders. Then all of a sudden she say's "Why not?"..............That's It.
God say's Tre, I want you to go here, do this, and TRUST ME
It will be okay. I may not tell you the outcome, but TRUST ME
I say she is not the one for you but TRUST ME
I have something better. For her to leap is a risk, but she trusts me to catch her. And why not have a little fun with it? The same joy I receive from her happiness, God has for me. TRUST ME. Just JUMP

The Will of God
The will of God will never take you where the grace of God can't keep you, where the riches of God can't supply your needs, where the power of God can't endow you...
The will of God will never take you where the spirit can't work through you, where the wisdom of God can't teach you, where God can't protect you, where his hands can't shape you...
The will of God will never tak you where the love of God can't hold you, where the mercies of God can't sustain you , where the peace of God can't calm your fears, where the authority of God can't rule you...
The will of God will never take you where the comfort of God can't dry your tears, where the Word of God can't feed you, where the miracles of God can't be done, where God can't find you...
Everything happens not for a purpose but with a purpose. Out of the worst situations God can still ge the glory. We may not see the wisdom of it all now but trust and believe in the Lord and know that he has his hands on our life.

Been Thinking
Maybe God allows us to meet a few wrong people before the right one.......that way when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for the gift....
When the door of happiness closes, another one opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one that has opened for us.....
The best kind of a friend is the kind you can sit with, never say a word, walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had......
It's true that we don't know what we have got until we lose it, but it's also true we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives....
Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart. What if it doesn't? Be content it grew in yours...
It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.....
But she is fine!!!
Dont't go for looks, they can deceive....
She paid!!!
Don't go for wealth, even that fades away.
How bout, who makes you smile? Its that smile that can make your darkest day so bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile. There are some moments in life when you miss someone so much or so long to be with them that you want to pluck them from your dreams and hug them for real. Make sure that they know how you feel, once they're gone- it's too late. Don't look for the one you can live with, yet search for the one you can't live without...
Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do...May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy and enough faith to stay the course...
Always put yourself in others shoes, if it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person too. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Happiness lives for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the people who have touched their lives....
Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, let go of your past failures, mistakes and heartaches....
In all you do keep God first. No need to elaborate....
When you where born you where crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one smiling and everyone around you is crying. That's all-I guess
Let's get it started
I have so much to share with the world. It's like boiling over inside of me. My thougts, my feelings, my emotions. It's going to be a ride.
