I received a call from a friend. The purpose of his call was to congratulate me for some recent opportunities that where offered to me. “Man, you are really doing it BIG for the kingdom. They’re going have you preaching and rapping everywhere. I can’t wait till I can do something BIG for God”. I began to think about the phrase, “Doing something BIG for God. This is a phrase that I have heard before, but it was almost cliché. I mean, I am thankful for every opportunity that God has given me, but is it really something BIG??? I mean Joel Osteen has a massive church, congregation, and a television ministry that is reaching nations around the world. That sounds BIG. Greg Laurie is the leader of Harvest Ministries and these guys pack out baseball fields for crusades and young people come from everywhere to these events. Lives changed in massive numbers. I would call that BIG. Billy Graham is the only person that I can think of who can get prime time, network television time to preach the message of Jesus to millions. That’s BIG. Or on a more socially driven scale, Mother Theresa who won the Nobel Peace prize for her renowned devotion to the poor, sick, orphaned and dying over a lifetime. That’s BIG. So if you are not doing it on that level you are not doing anything, right? I mean, if you can’t do it BIG, why do it at all? As I began to really think about this idea of BIG, a couple of things really came to mind. The question of what is BIG is mainly determined by the person who does the measuring. We feel that in order to truly honor God, we have to do something BIG or radical in order to be a world changer. The question we must ask ourselves is how does GOD measure? Let’s be honest, few of us will travel the world preaching the gospel, or travel to third world countries to enhance the lives of the poor. Most of us will not pastor a mega church or start a nonprofit organization that will tackle social issues at home and around the world. It would be nice, but that’s not everyone’s calling. So are we all of lesser importance in the kingdom of God if we do not accomplish one of those great feats? I guess what needs to happen first is we need to take the emphasis off of the “something” and focus on who the “something” is really about. Instead of doing something BIG for God, how about doing something for a BIG GOD. To wait to do something BIG is the missed opportunity to do something now. I read a quote that stated, “Don’t fail to do something just because you can’t do everything”. God is not requiring everyone to go across the globe to demonstrate his love, but we can at least go across the street. It’s in the little things that we do every day that places us on the path to fulfilling the will of God for our lives. Our walking in our purpose on daily basis is the main thing we can do for our BIG GOD. We cannot use the excuse of future aspirations as a justification of not doing something now. Got to start somewhere. Be Blessed.

You Are Not Alone
You don't have to be alone in your hurt! Comfort is yours. Joy is an option. And it's all been made possible by your Saviour. He went without comfort so you might have it. He postponed joy so you might share in it. He willingly chose isolation so you might never be alone in your hurt and sorrow.

What is Love???
I wanna know what love is, I want you to show me. I've always found that song kind of corny and maybe a little whiny. Once I was asked to read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, and substitute the word “Jesus” for “love.” It made a lot of sense to say, “Jesus is patient, Jesus is kind; Jesus does not envy; Jesus does not parade Himself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek His own . . . . Jesus never fails.”
Then I was told to replace love with my name. Really Dude??? So I began to say, “Trey is patient, Trey is kind; Trey does not envy; Trey does not parade Himself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek His own . . . . Trey never fails.”
So then the next question is.....Am I??? It's so easy to place the attributes of love with Jesus, but do I possess or exemplify ALL those attributes to EVERYONE??? Not a select few that I find it easy to love, but especially those that make it so hard to love them. To be Christian is more about living and acting as Christ and not just talking about him.
